Travelling on expresscoaches/long distance coaches
Expresscoaches in Norway has generally a high technical standard with toilets, reclining seats, aircondition/fresh air, reading lights and self-service coffe/tea. They are used for long-distance travelling between the major cities in Norway but it is of course optional to get on/off the bus in between-stops. Utskriftsvennlig

Before travelling:
• You can buy singletickets on the bus, or in some ticket-counters
• There is a "seatguarantie" on all ekspresscoaches, (except lavprisekspressen.no to/from Oslo where you have to book in advance on the web)
• Most bus companies grant discounts for children, students and senior citizens

At the busstop:
• Queue at the busstop in the normal manner.
• When the bus you need approaches the stop, please put your hand out to signal that you want to get on the bus.
• Enter the bus through the frontdoor. Please do not enter until people leaving by the frontdoor have departed
• Pay to the driver. Please have the exact fare ready for easiest handling

In the bus:
• If seatbelts are mounted on the bus, you are obliged to wear them.
• When arriving at your destination, please press the bell when approaching your required stop in time, so the bus can stop safely
• Doors are opened by the driver
